Mind Games is a series of psychological self-portraits, exploring the unconscious mind – those parts of a person unknown even to themselves, residing deep inside our personalities.
These images are composed of multiple digital photographs layered together like a film double-exposure, so that the viewer is compelled to view the images together simultaneously. This expresses something of how human perception works – how our experience of the world around us, and ultimately our sense of self, is filtered through our past experiences so that present reality is seen through the lens of our memories.
