About the Book
Set in the Firth of Clyde, Ailsa Craig is a Scottish island. It is a volcanic plug and sits around 10 miles (16 km) off the coast of Ayrshire. The photographer Robert K Wilson has been photographing Ailsa Craig for many years and the book is full of pictures of the ever-changing light, moods and cloud formations around the island.

About the Creator
Robert K Wilson was born in Ayr, Scotland, UK. He studied Graphic design and Photography followed by a pure photography course becoming a member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers. Robert joined an Edinburgh-based commercial photographers and spent four years producing high-quality architectural and commercial photography. He then opened his own studio in Edinburgh's centre, working mainly for Advertising Agencies and Design Groups. He was mostly studio-based, but assignments have taken him to Germany, Spain, Hong Kong, Japan, Denmark, and Cuba. At the end of the 1990s, Robert spent almost three years living in Santiago de Chile shooting campaigns for Advertising Agencies. During his time in Chile, he was presented with the advertising photographer of the year award.
