About the Book
Peter Marshall's pictures show a city and its fringes beyond the tourist circuit, capturing some of the flavour of the real Paris, but it is also very much a Paris of the imagination.
The streets of Belleville, decaying shopfronts, the parts of the city off the main streets that tourists seldom visit, along Montreuil and Vincennes on the eastern fringe of the city.
