About the Book
In the summer of 2006 I was on crutches because of a torn Achilles tendon. To keep myself busy my wife, Susan, suggested I take a Life Stories writing class that was being held at Bloomingdale Regional Library. I took the class, then took two more, and I am now involved in helping teach the classes and I facilitate a travel writing group.



This book is a compilation of some of the stories I have writted for the classes.



I hope to continue to update the book as I write more stores.

Spence retired as a Vice President of an electric uitlity in 2003. He has a degree in biology from Florida State University. He developed a love of photography and a desire to travel when he was still in grade school. He has traveled to over 25 countries and throughout North America. He is planning to publish books on more of his travels in the near future.
