About the Book
In 1951, Gordon Thompson and his son, Jim, purchased the retired hydroplane, Miss Canada IV, and ensured that Canada would be able to compete in the Harmsworth Trophy competition for world boating supremacy. This was the beginning of the Supertest Petroleum Company boat racing team, which went on to dominate unlimited racing from 1959-1961.
