About the Book
Morocco is barred from the Atlantic towards the "New World", but it can be considered a continuity of the "Old Continent" to which it is united by the Mediterranean; Gibraltar, beyond the narrow strait, is less than 15 kilometers away. Thus, thanks to the ease with which it can be reached, Morocco has always been an exotic destination for many travelers, the first contact with Africa. Although it is often considered a country at the crossroads between Africa and Europe, Islam and Christianity, modernity and tradition and, perhaps more imaginatively, between the pragmatic west and the exotic and romantic east, Morocco has a character all its own of travelers who come here attracted by the places for which it is famous: the chaotic comings and goings of the medinas, the great expanses of dunes at the "Lawrence of Arabia", are often surprised by the great variety of experiences it has to offer. From the edge where the known world ended, the journey began in a land rich in history, traditions, culture that has not remained anchored to its past, but has been able to cross time until the new millennium, without ever losing its roots.
