About the Book
The southeastern Alaska coast is mountained, glaciered and forested: It used to be a wilderness, a place where the sublime could mix beauty and terror. Now, it is a stop on a cruise. These photos attempt to bring back a whiff of the old power of Alaska: The Alaska of myth and mind.
