Growing up on the family farm in the middle of Kansas, there was always an adventure in the works. The size of this family could tell you that much: ten children, two parents, and one Gomer, the family collie dog. Gomer was a good stock dog, a skilled hunter, and an eager wrestler. Every morning, that little collie would come out to greet the the kids as if he was seeing old friends for the first time in years. Until one summer morning. The kids went out to do their chores and Gomer wasn’t there to issue his daily greeting. As the days passed by with no sign of Gomer, the kids began to think their beloved dog might be gone for good.
