Their lives crossed paths again when Guenther started his own company "Displaytronix" in California. Erich managed to negotiate a "Technology Transfer Contract" between Displaytronix and Siemens paving a way for the Erich and Guenther to see each other more often on business trips.
The two SIEMENSIANERS have bee friends since they were 14 years old and have nurtured their lifelong friendship for the past 65 years which prompted Guenther to write this book to acknowledged their lifelong friendship which crossed one ocean and two continents.

About the Creator
Guenther J. Gehart was born in Zwingendorf, Austria, and grew up in Vienna. He came to Los Angeles as a teenager, where he later met his wife Anna. They raised their three children - John, Diane, and Joanne - in Agoura Hills, CA. Their son John became an attorney and has his own law firm in downtown Los Angeles, California. Diane earned a PhD degree in Counseling and is teaching Marriage & Family Counseling at the University of Northridge, as well as working in her own private practice. Joanne earned her Master's degree in Education and is teaching in Santa Cruz, California. At age 50 Guenther enrolled at UCLA and earned his degree in Computer Graphics. At age 59 he started Displaytronix, a high tech firm that designs LCD interfaces and refurbishes LCD panels. After six years of successfully building the company, it was sold to IBM; and Guenther, after working 50 years, retired. He now spends quailty time with his children and grandchildren - photographing and writing books.
