About the Book
The Kinsol Trestle is one of the largest wooden railway trestles in North America. The railway was established in the 1910s to move lumber and goods between Nootka Sound and southern Vancouver Island in British Columbia. These historic black and white images of the trestle were taken in its years of abandonment between 1980 and 2008, before it was rebuilt as part of the trans-Canada walking trail.
