About the Creator
Eric R. Schenk is an Internal Medicine physician who practices at Coastal Maine Internal Medicine PC in Rockport, Maine. He grew up in rural southeastern Ohio earning a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering and a D.O., all from Ohio University. He has lived in Maine for the past 15 years with his wife, Melissa, and children, Lauren, Benjamin and Daniel. They have two golden retrievers, Romeo and Pearl. Eric has a passion for spending time outdoors hiking and fly fishing. He especially enjoys hiking with his children, Romeo and Pearl in Acadia National Park and Camden Hills State Park. The quiet solitude of Acadia holds a special place in his heart, the reason he is attracted to the area for hiking. This is his first book and it is a compilation of his experiences on Mount Desert Island in hopes that it will inspire hikers to take their dog along and explore the island.
