About the Book
Chinatown Mysteries is a photographic project that focuses on today’s Chinatown in a way that has never been published before. There are tourist books, guides, histories, and books of vintage photos on San Francisco’s Chinatown, but there is nothing like this book. Chinatown Mysteries comprises forty-four pictorially striking, super-saturated photographs. What lies behind these often-gated walls and curtained windows? The photos include no people, storefront display windows, or murals. The mysteries are unsolved.

About the Creator
Michael Rosen
San Francisco
Michael Rosen, San Francisco's foremost photographer of sexual art, has been creating erotic and sexually explicit work since 1977 - including stark nude landscapes, gritty images of S/M sex, and studio portraits and action photos involving BDSM, erotic piercings, gender play and "non-standard penetration”. His latest work comprises soft and romantic images of explicit sex that challenge the banality of pornography. There are eight monographs of Michael's photographs: "Sexual Magic", "Sexual Portraits", "Sexual Art", "Lust & Romance", “Vanilla Sex”, "Slow Dance", "Jump" and "Contact Sheet Sexual Portraits".
