About the Book
Sammy's Visit is a story about a day in the life of a child with an incarcerated parent. Sammy lives with her grandmother, who works tirelessly to provide for their needs. Lonely and missing her mother, Sammy struggles emotionally. She feels intimidated by the prison walls and is resentful that this barricade separates her from the most important person in her life.
