The story of a start-up USA Custom guitar building shop. Specializing in vintage style solid body electric guitars modeled after those first guitars made in California in the 1950's. Owner and builder James J Barrett Jr. started his work in his home garage at night after his regular job as a hobby, but the company developed a following of area musicians. Other services included guitar repairs and guitar music lessons. Barrett Guitars have been played at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center NYC and all over the Asbury Park music venues of New Jersey. No guitar is ever duplicated so many guitarists have considered their Barrett guitar their "Signature Model".
