About the Book
This book is the beginning of a narrative for regional farming and best practices set forth by individuals and families who want a better tomorrow by having a better meal today.
Grateful Growers began the story by hosting an on-farm dinner, "The Hands that Feed You. An evening with real food and real farmers." With participants nearing all the compass points of the greater Charlotte and surrounding regions of the Carolinas.
We hope the images here-in will provide you a spring board into joining these and other producers at our local markets. In exploring what it is to both be a farmer and a good steward of those things around you it is our desire that you carry the thoughts and actions forward into your life.
"He who chooses the beginning of a road chooses the place it leads to."
-- Harry Emerson Fosdick
