About the Creator
Basul Parik In 1960, his parents created created the 'Professional Color Laboratory' in downtown San Francisco. During the 1960's Basul worked with Bill Graham, Fantasy Records, Filmore Corp. and Columbia Records. Urilizing his photography and lab skills, Basul photographed some of these companies biggest stars. Basul's work can be seen on the covers of Credence Clearwater, Cal Jader and Charlie Mingus. Corky Engel In 1975 Corky moved from Illinois to San Francisco. In 1977 he started working at Professional Color Laboratory. While there he worked with some of San Francisco's best known fashion, advertising and commercial photographers. He later joined IATSE along with Basul. Together, they started several businesses that included real estate development, rug importation and a chain of coffee stores variously known as Daily Grind and Cafe Corbas. In the 1990's Corky and Basul entered the new field of 'digital video'. Using Amigas and the NewTek Video Toaster.
