About the Creator
Alexa is a current MFA candidate at The New School’s Creative Writing program with a concentration in Writing for Children & Young Adults. Before moving to NYC to pursue her career and higher education opportunities, Alexa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Champlain College in 2021 with a major in Professional Writing and focus in Creative Writing. Alexa’s debut nonfiction poetry book, Troubles, premiered in May 2021 and is available via Target, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Blurb. Her poem, “They’ll Tear it Down” appeared in Pinnacle Anthology in spring 2019; “Hot & Sour Soup,” “50¢ a Cup,” and “The End” were published in Willard & Maple in May 2021; “Bowl or No Bowl” was featured in the first issue of Sage Soup in 2021; “The Guy Who Stabbed Jesus,” “Blue Jeans,” “Control Freak,” and “A Quaint Little Tragedy” were chosen for The Empty Magazine in 2021; and “God Spoke to Me Through the Car Stereo” was selected for the spring 2021 issue of The Bryant Literary Review.
