About the Book
Snow has become a rare thing in the city of Basel in the last decades. But in January 2021 we had heavy snowfall over our small but historic city. The otherwise noisy, hectic city with its billboards and construction sites, became quiet and slow. As if time slowed down, the city felt as if we had traveled back in time to a bygone era. .
Totally hypnotized and as if in a trance, the city was spiked with quiet, almost frozen scenes. On this one day, when the city itself was as much an actor as the people in it, it presented a rare medieval look combined with signs of modern times.
Matt quality hardcover ~ 34 pages with 31 selected images
in black and white and in color ~ 8x10 (20cm×25 cm)
All photographs in this book are shot on the 14th of January 2021
