About the Book
Although her story is inspiring, it represents the starting point and foundation for the more extensive saga of her numerous descendants. Through their captivating personal stories, one can trace the expansion of America westward through the farmlands of Ohio, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota to the plains of Kansas and onward to California. The accounts of adventurers, abolitionists, Civil War heroes, lawyers, engineers and inventors are as varied as the people who populated the generations of Seviah's family.
Whether your family is deeply rooted in American soil or you are a relative newcomer to this land, Seviah's Story will provide a new lens through which to view United States history.

About the Creator
Merry Soyck-Doring and her husband, Ray Doring, divide their time seasonally between Cameron, Wisconsin, and Lakeland, Florida. Merry enjoys travel, quilting, reading, and gardening. Although she has been passionate about genealogy research for years, this is her first attempt at writing about her family. Merry's career in training and development spanned three decades in the financial services industry followed by 15 years with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, where she worked in youth ministry, outdoor ministry and synod office administration. Ray and Merry's blended family has given them the privilege of parenting, nurturing, and loving four amazing adult children, Matthew Doring, David Soyck, Amy (Soyck) Kesling, and Amir Babayev, and four delightful grandchildren, as well as several dogs and cats.
