About the Book
In a hectic world, time for contemplation is hard to come by. This book provides brief, contemplative poems to help the reader develop a habit of daily prayer/contemplation, no matter what spiritual home they inhabit. The number "40 " represents a time of testing, of change, of growth. As the ancient Hebrews wandered the biblical wilderness for forty years in preparation for the Promised Land, so the Poet invites you to spend forty days in a foreign place: one of contemplation, of inspiration, and, hopefully, one of peace.
