About the Book
Through the lenses of a thousand metaphors, author Blake Henderson emotionally recounts the dying days of a marriage, the dark landscape of its ruin, and the process of rebuilding in its rubble. "Galatea In Ivy" avoids advising the wounded and instead extends a hand in companionship to anyone familiar with defeat, depression, or despair.
Henderson presents the arc of his divorce through the ancient myth of Pygmalion, a near-sighted idealist in idolatrous love with a picture of love he himself created. A compelling read for anyone kindred with grief or looking to explore the paradoxical landscape of meaningful tragedy.

Orange County, CA
Blake Henderson has a Master's of Education in Applied Behavior Analysis with which he educates families and persons affected by autism spectrum disorder. Originally believing he would pastor, his Bachelor's is in Biblical & Theological Studies, a path he has left overgrown due to insufficient entitlement to a pulpit and a disinterest in dogma. On weekends and weeknights, he plays music alone in his room and writes to his heart's content.
