Set in 1997/8 and passing through Nepal, Thailand and Indonesia, this is basically a travel/break-up diary, but possibly unlike any you've read before, because the author spares us nothing. His fantasies, his sex life, his emotional turmoil, his obsessions about men, food and money, all find their way into these pages. Some have recoiled, others have praised his honesty and enjoyed his style and energy. The Beats and Baudelaire have been mentioned. Don't say you weren't warned. Oh it's also very funny in parts and rather well written.
