About the Book
This publication is a beautiful example of the exceptional work created by participants of Harriet Goodall’s Form to Freedom, Weaving for fibre sculpture online course.
It is always incredibly humbling to see the work of a collective group of students all striving to expand their knowledge and love for creativity.
Harriet invited students to create a sculpture, wall hanging or basket that encompassed place, by incorporating a found object or plant material from within 1.5 miles of their home.
Experienced weavers and beginners relished the opportunity to take their time and explore their local surroundings in a new way. Some completed the entire sculpture from locally foraged materials, proving once again that weaving can be an act of environmentalism.
I’m sure you’ll agree this exhibition clearly demonstrates how you can, with the right guidance, move from Form to Freedom.
