About the Book
She stood, surrounded by armed guards. Linda was gripping the chain link fence so tight, she was bleeding. She knew that the gate was open. She knew that she could die at any moment. She didn’t care.
Linda watched as the man she loved was running toward her daughter. He was shooting, she was screaming, the zombies were attacking.
She couldn’t feel the guard pulling on her arm. She couldn’t feel the pain of her hands being opened by the fence. She could only feel her heart pounding.
“Linda.” The guard tried to get her attention. The other guards were shouting. Their guns were firing. The only thing she could hear was her daughter screaming. She couldn’t even hear her own voice.
“Shauna.”
