About the Book
There are 29 bridges in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. In the early 1800s there were approximately 1,500 covered bridges in the state of Pennsylvania. There are now just over 200 bridges, with more located in Lancaster County than any other county in the state. The book contains pictures of all 29 bridges in addition to a brief history and facts about the bridges. Most are still in use and many are on the National Register of Historic Places.
