How far is the east from the west? How far away is the horizon? What are the limits to my backyard? The greatest gift I could have given myself is looking at the world through the viewfinder of my camera. Through my wanderings, I have recognized that there is a whole world waiting to be discovered right where I am. So often we miss the beauty and wonder of the simple things around us... the delicate texture of the petal of a flower, the shodows in storm clouds, the spectrum of colors offered by the sky when the sun rises and sets, the gentle hughes of the leaves during the changing of the seasons. All these things are right where we are, right in our own backyard.
