About the Book
160 PAGES. Dale Montez of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, travelled to Acapulco in 2006. This expedition lasted 23 days, including a 300-mile bus ride to explore the glorious beaches of southern Oaxaca. This was funded by some large carpet cleanings in the environs of Kansas City. In 2014, during the polar vortex and the peaking gas prices, Dale rode shotgun on a 54-day road-trip to the southwest. Mostly exploring the dunes and canyons of Death Valley National Park, they also looked at the San Andreas Fault, from Point Reyes to Palm Springs. Dale's peak experience was busking on the Las Vegas Strip. People paid him, and, he said, he felt like a star. Dale also mentioned that he liked that the big desert made him feel small. More than 80 portraits are collected in this yearbook-style bound-magazine, documenting his Dale's appearances in astonishing and spectacular environments. Dale will look cute and make you laugh ! [More landscape photos from this 2014 expedition comprise the Blurb-book, "California Inchoate."] This photo-book is intended as a tribute to celebrate the life and vital energy of Dale at his most-free.
