About the Book
For this show, photograpHER asked her members to submit work that they created in response to Covid-19 and its impact on their everyday lives or their communities. Twenty-seven women from around the world responded to the call. This is the result. The show presents the photographs as a collective visual story of our shared experience of isolation, fear, change, and creating connections.

About the Creator
During this pandemic many photographers have been inspired to create work with new perspectives. The world that was their muse was no longer available to them in the same way. Some photographed the world through their windows, while others explored their domestic space as they once explored foreign countries. And some photographers dealt with the virus on a more personal level as it invaded their homes, their families, or their bodies. Each photographer created work illustrating their unique experience either from within the home or within their communities during this ongoing pandemic. In response to what was happening, photograpHER, an online collective of women photographers, organized a three-part photographic project. The first was an online exhibit. The second is this catalog of images from the exhibit. The third will be a physical exhibit at Gray Loft Gallery in Oakland, California, USA to be held when it is possible to safely host shows in physical spaces.
