About the Book
A family biography (182pp) as told by Jack and Eileen Lynch, written and designed by Larissa Wiese.
Jack was born in Fremantle just as the Jazz Age hit. The Hydrodome was built at Long Jetty, new baths were built in town, and Uglieland fairground opened. Times were prosperous, despite the looming depression, yet Jack’s family headed north to Mullewa to follow the railways.
At the same time Eileen’s family had left the farm in Cowaramup to escape Sir James Mitchell’s group settlement scheme, and its back-breaking conditions. Not long after settling in Perth however, her family lost their beloved husband and father.
