About the Book
The Illinois Prairie is a sight to behold when you can see a soft breeze whispering in the grass as golden light spews from the horizon, engulfing it all in a warm glow. I found that the more time I spent out there, the more I realized that the beauty went unnoticed. I think a lot of the best photographs I’ve taken have been out in central Illinois. It helps that I had more time to shoot and find compositions and even return to locations when the lighting and conditions were better, but it was interesting to see how shooting one specific type of terrain for a few months forces you to study it in a way you might not have otherwise.
