About the Book
For a European moving to America, the first impression is disorientation. Everything is vast, spaces, houses, cars, and buildings are huge and scattered in the vastness of the territory. America does not exist as a geographical entity, it is mostly a concept, an idea. Narrating America is not easy because its thousand faces show as many thousand facets. In fact, this work is a simple, open journey made by another European who traveled across the ocean to search for something. It is called “fragment” because every picture is just a small portion of what makes America still an open frontier. And as a fragment, it shows only scattered pieces like puzzle pieces in their box before being assembled all together.
