About the Book
This piece is a collection, an argument, and a warning. This cannot happen again, history doesn’t have to repeat itself. Nearly 100 years ago Virginia Woolf lamented the lack of life in living while war raged near her country. I see many of our thoughts and sentiments about Ukraine mirrored in her words. I wanted to show that, our watching from afar and losing hope, is a legacy we bear from earlier conflicts. It is a morbid tradition. Women like: Virginia Woolf, Anne Frank, Zlata Filipovió, Malala Yousafzai, Daria Peshkova, and Vika Kurilenko have been our recordkeepers, and we can’t ignore our predecessors and contemporaries messages.
