ABOUT DOG'S DIARY

The bond between man and dog has been celebrated in poetry, song, and stories ever since the two species discovered each other around a campfire. Louie and Nat (Louie’s the dog) came together just as the Covid-19 pandemic was shutting people off and turning life topsy-turvy. Nat had never had a dog before and, as you’ll read in Louie’s funny, touching, revelatory diary, Louie had never had a Nat before.

This is a day-by-day adventure in bonding for anybody who ever had a dog, is thinking about getting a dog, knows a dog owner, or knows someone who needs a dog.

Louie is a male Italian greyhound. Nat Segaloff has been a movie publicist and film critic (not at the same time), college teacher, TV producer, and talk show host. He has written over twenty books and is Louie’s third owner (story inside). They enjoy long walks on the neighborhood streets, chasing cats, gorging on treats, and cuddling under the covers watching videos.

A portion of the authors’ royalties from this book will go to the Perfect Paws Pet Ministry at All Saints Episcopal Church of the North Shore, Danvers, MA, which offers humans pet loss bereavement counseling free of charge, therapy dog certification and team deployment to schools, hospitals and to any people who can benefit from a little love on a leash.
