About the Book
Stanton Family Favourites is a collection of recipes from descendants of James, George, and Joseph Stanton, who settled in the first half of the 1800s near Clear Lake and Newboro in South Crosby Township, Leeds County, Ontario, Canada. The Stantons came from England, and their early cooks adapted recipes from their homeland to Canadian ingredients. Many of the recipes are old favourites from handwritten collections of contributors' mothers, aunts, and grandmothers. Information has been added about some of the cooks. You will also find snippets of family, regional and culinary history.
