About the Book
Skate Fate issue number 77! This is the first new issue of Skate Fate since #76 back in 1991. It’s chock full of mostly previously unpublished letters, art, photos and flyers from the 1980s that were packed away in boxes for over three decades. Includes Mail Grab (scanned handwritten letters and envelopes with artwork—many of them from Stacy Peralta and Gavin O’Brien, plus Rodger Bridges, Steve Caballero, Phil Esbenshade, Andy Jenkins, Chris Johanson, Dan Wilkes, and dozens more, 82 pages), Tony Hawk Profile (2 pages), Mini-Cab (2 pages), Developer (photos, 14 pages), Draw (really creative skate art, 30 pages), Flyers (from events and shops, 12 pages), Text Documents (fiction, etc. 6 pages), and Envelope Logos (4 pages). It’s a perfect time capsule of skateboarding in the 1980s. 160 pages total, softcover, perfect bound, color front and back covers, all black and white interior pages.
