Through original poems and illustrations Knowehlani aims to tell a story of lust, ignorance, youth, and vulnerability. Feelings of frustration, lack of accountability, and desire fill the pages that spill raw emotion. Although we tell ourselves we try our best to be our best, most of us have been in a position where we ignore every red flag in an attempt to win a race that we were never truly in to begin with.
