After 20 years, my photographic work experience is extensive. It ranges from documenting intimate journalistic stories for foundations and organisations, to capturing the vulnerability of Dutch music artists who have asked me to focus on something different than just the regular concert photos. It includes high profile weddings in the Netherlands and abroad and reportage style content and portraits for various magazines. My images can be characterised as stemming from curiosity and engagement, creating a true connection between the people I photograph, myself and the audience who will later on look at the images. Working with the inconspicuous Leica rangefinders and their short lenses ensures visual stories that are so intuitively shot, they will have the spectator live all moments vicariously.
