About the Creator
I've been a visionary artist for over 40 years, specializing in community art projects, sacred masks, and visionary arts. I also teach. In 2007 I had a fellowship at the Alden Dow Creativity Center to pursue my community arts project "The Hands of the Spider Woman", based upon the Native American legend of the Spider Woman, an important metaphor for our time. In 2019 I closed the 20 year, collaborative and travelling "Masks of the Goddess Project" with an exhibition and performances at Arise Gallery at HerChurch in San Francisco. Recently the Masks of the Goddess were presented at the Parliament of World Religions. In 2022 I will be presenting a "Shrine for the Lost: the Sixth Extinction" for Dia de los Muertos - the installation is funded by the Puffin Foundation. May we all become "Beautiful Weavers" within our changing and beloved Earth.
