About the Book
When Randall Pease reached out to his daughter Molly through a 2016 email about his recovery-focused poem series, he mentioned two dreams; that Molly would set some of the poems to music, and that a book of his poems and crayon drawings would be published. Molly has spent the last four years working to make those dreams a reality. In the creation of the poetry book, Molly collaborated with editor Amanda Choo Quan and designer Laura Sofía Pérez. The book includes 29 poems written by Randall that explore the divine, ideas about the afterlife and resurrection, and focus on family. His accompanying crayon drawings have been carefully collaged in and around the poems by Pérez, painting a colorful picture of Randall's vivid imagination. Also included is a brief foreword by composer Molly Pease.
