About the Book
I agreed not to bother about technique, nor to try and make a premeditated, coherent work.
On the contrary, I wanted to set free a stream of images that were as odd, colourful, questionable, silly, sunny, obstinate as well as pleasing, meaningful, sad and tempting as is my own life.
In this book I present some 150 of the APAD pictures, in strict chronological order.

About the Creator
Dutch photographer Theo Bos (Pijnacker, Holland 1959) is known for his unique personal style, characterised by the way he combines different types of photographs to depict his subjects. Documentary based (e.g. Recreation in The Netherlands, 1991), his work has developed in a increasingly personal and experimental direction (e.g. the installation The House of my Parents, 1993 or his digital project The Perfect Picture, 1998) to his current subjective and expressive photography. His present works reveals an open eye for beauty, for absurdity and, most of all, for hidden expression in ordinary subjects. Although his photographs are highly realistic -in a way only photography can be- his work also exhibits a definite painterly quality.
