Contains Photos and comments on roughly thirty salads or sides that were created weekly for the neighborhood homeless shelter residents at the beginning of the Covid epidemic in Portland Oregon. Kurt who became referred to as "The Salad Guy" by the residents, included brief notes and comments on his preparation each week sending them as text messages to a small group of friends who awaited each weeks selection. Unbeknownst to the chef, these notes and photos were kept and compiled for this little book as a souvenir of the time preparing these gifts each week for more than two years!
