For two months the author stayed in a village in Southern France and photographed and identified all the animals she encountered. Every species is depicted with at least one photo and some information about distribution, habitat, biology and life cycle. Birds, reptiles, a lot of insects mainly butterflies and moths, beetles, bugs, but also isopods, millipeds and snails are shown.
