About the Book
According to F. Lee Bailey, “Albert DeSalvo was the last person one would expect to fill in the ghostly silhouette of the mysterious Boston Strangler.” He appeared to be a hard-working family man with a wife and two children. But from the summer of 1962 to the winter of 1964, DeSalvo raped and murdered 13 women in Boston and nearby communities. Three years later, he was sentenced to life in prison for a series of sexual assaults committed after the murders. He was never charged or tried as the Boston Strangler. Were it not for his confession while incarcerated at Bridgewater State Hospital, Boston may never have known the identity of the Strangler.
