About the Book
This is an album of whimsical artwork by Sue Clancy from her fine art exhibit titled Figures Of Speech. About her exhibit and the artworks in it Clancy writes "I like to read books and possibly because I was a deaf child I have a fascination with language and figures of speech. So I enjoy creating animal characters and visually playing with words, phrases and meanings while keeping an eye towards love and laughter because we need hope, humor and kindness. I work by hand using ink, gouache, color pencil and acrylic." This book is also a work of art and while it is related to her one-person exhibit it stands on its own as another whimsical, joyful expression by Clancy of her delight in living, in painting and her love of wordplay.
