Laura Jean is a forty-three year-old mother of three who was diagnosed with ALS in February of 2016. Since diagnosis, she has lost muscle function, leaving her quadriplegic and unable to speak. In her spare time, Laura Jean enjoys learning about ancient history, exploring new recipes, and debating theology. Laura Jean, her husband, Toby, their three kids, and their affectionate cat live in Dell Rapids, South Dakota.
