About the Book
Light, Glorious Light is a 20-page softcover book (aka magazine) that contains 24 images, with captions, in which light is a critical component. Photography is all about the light. The word photography is derived from the Greek photos (light) and graphein (to draw). The photographs were taken all over the world and include images from: the Sahara Desert, Easter Island, India, Namibia, Iceland, the Amazon River, Patagonia, New York City, the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Death Valley, and Greenland. Included also are more than 15 quotations by major thinkers on the critical and essential contribution that glorious light makes to the success of the most compelling photographs — major thinkers from Leonardo da Vinci to Arlo Guthrie. “Find the good light and shoot what’s in it.” — Unknown.
