About the Creator
André Ruiter (Putten, 1972) is a Dutch photographer specialised in conceptual black & white photography. In 2009 and 2010 he studied at the school of photography (Fotovakschool ) where he completed his first photo project. After graduating he continued working on photo projects based on historic themes. In 2018 he discovered French glass stereoviews with images from the First World War. This resulted in a great interest in stereo photography and he now collects stereoscopy items from 1850 to 1930. His collection contains stereoviews, stereo cameras, stereoscopes, catalogs, manuals and other accessories. André lives in Putten, a town surrounded by the woodlands of nature reserve The Veluwe.
