Melanie Faith Dove artistically invites us to connect with Eswatini's reimagining of their reintroduced wildlife collections. Since much of their native fauna and flora was decimated up until the 1960's when the establishment of the Big Game Parks heralded a second chance, offering sanctuary to their once native species. Dove's imagery challenges the artificial nature of what 'wild' represents in the current third world context. Reality means the parks, Mlilwane, Hlane and Mkhaya have limited capacity, requiring them to be highly curated, managed and manipulated in an attempt to achieve an artificial ecological and environmental balance within the isolated pockets of land.
