About the Book
Samuel R Truesdell was born in New York, but when he was a boy, his father, Nathan Truesdell, took the family to Campbell County, Kentucky, very close to the Ohio River. Sam became a riverboat trader, but he died in New Orleans after he took a flatboat down the Mississippi during a cholera epidemic.
