About the Book
Lake Ferry is a holiday destination, a place to hide, a resting place at the end of the road. It defines simplicity and demands a slower pace. With the ferry gone and the lake mostly ignored it makes little sense to those who don't understand. These photographs are an attempt to better understand this "poor man's paradise" hidden in a quiet corner of New Zealand's north island.
